Hellsing Ultimate OVA. Season 1. (72)IMDb NR. Seras Victoria (セラス・ヴィクトリア Serasu Vikutoria) is one of the main protagonists of Hellsing. Seras was turned into a vampire by Alucard to save her from a.

It's unclear what happens to her afterward, whether she got adopted or not but she managed to become a police officer as she dreamed she would.

Seras was originally a police officer who, along with the rest of her squad, was sent into Cheddar Village to investigate a priest who was responsible for multiple homicides.

A vampire disguised as or possibly was formerly a priest had taken control of the town and turned its inhabitants into Ghouls. The vampire took Seras hostage; unsure if she was a virgin or not, he planned to rape her to ensure she would turn into a ghoul after he drank her blood.

When Alucard arrived, the priest used her as a human shield to coerce Alucard into letting him live.

Alucard asked her if she was a virgin, and when she confirmed that she was, he shot through her to kill her captor. In her final moments of human life, she was given a choice: to die as a human or become a vampire.

She chose to live and Alucard turned her into a vampire. Given her condition, Seras was immediately employed to the Hellsing Organization after becoming a vampire.

She was given a new uniform and almost immediately sent out on a mission by Integra with Alucard to eliminate some ghouls which had infested a household.

While carrying out this mission she would come face to face with Father Alexander Anderson from the Vatican agency Iscariot who pierced her with numerous blessed blades from behind before proceeding to fight with Alucard.

During the course of this battle, Alucard's head was taken off by the priest and Seras, fearing her Master dead, took it and fled.

As she pulled out the blades from her body Alucard's voice spoke to her, bidding her to drink his blood and become a true vampire. Seras, however, was too hesitant to do so before Anderson caught up to her, it was only the timely arrival of Integra and Alucard's subsequent resurrection which saved the situation.

Sometime later, Walter revealed to Seras that per Sir Integra's order, he disposed of her bed and replaced it with a coffin.

It was then Seras was also given her new weapon, the anti-tank cannon Harkonnen. The timing of this proved fortunate as soon after the Hellsing Manor was attacked by two vampire brothers, Luke and Jan Valentine.

The younger brother Jan led an army of ghouls which slaughtered the Hellsing troops and almost succeeded in reaching Integra and the visiting council members.

Together Seras and Walter were able to stop this from happening. Walter led their attacks and Seras provided armed support, eventually managing to pin Jan down in a grapple she learned from her police training.

After revealing the Hellsing troops were now Ghouls Jan broke free of her hold, sending Seras into the arms of the ghouls. She subsequently lost control and in a fit of bloodlust destroyed a number of them until Integra intervened.

Jan, now disabled by gunshot wounds at the hands of Integra and the council, died as an unknown entity set him alight from the inside, the vampire only giving a single clue as to who sent him, 'Millennium'.

Meanwhile downstairs Alucard killed and consumed Luke Valentine. Shortly afterwards, a confrontation with the Iscariot Section XIII leader Maxwell occurred at the British Imperial War Museum , during which Seras successfully managed to avert another fight between Alucard and Anderson by pretending to be a tour guide.

After the encounter, she has a run in with The Wild Geese. Much later she is comically locked in her coffin by Alucard so she could be tricked into traveling in the jet to Brazil.

Seras tries to protest but is berated by Alucard for her mercy toward mortals. During her master's fight with Tublucain Alahambra, she tries to shoot at him but fails.

The two are then rescued by Pip Bernadotte after Alucard defeats Tublucain. During a fight with Anderson she tries to intervene but is scared into submission.

At the meeting between the Iscariot, Hellsing, and the Queen she is a security guard of sorts. Later she easily tears through her men and comes to the rescue of the Wild Geese crew who were mostly being slaughtered by Zorin Blitz's battalion.

When she arrives she kills Zorin's men and takes on the artificial vampire herself, only to have her memories searched, her arm cut off, her eyes busted open and wounded in the back and spine.

Pip then rushes to save her but is killed by Zorin Blitz. Right before his death, he orders Seras to drink his blood so she can kill Zorin.

Seras does so and kills her and the reinforcements. She then proceeds to save Integra from the Iscariot priests and meets up with Alucard on his return to London, astounded by his original form.

Soon after she is present when Paladin Alexander Anderson dies and questions Walter for his betrayal of Hellsing. While Integra looks for the Major Seras confronts the Captain and is again being beaten by her Millennium opponent.

However, with the use of a silver tooth and her familiar Pip Bernadotte, she is able to kill The Captain. She then destroys the Major's shield, blowing away half his body in the process.

Then she carries Integra from the zeppelin as it explodes. She then comes to her master's aid after hearing gunshots from her room but stops her attack when she finds Alucard back and alive after 30 years.

Kouta Hirano stated in an interview at Otakon , "Her relationship with Alucard is very complicated, since "many things mix together", like being part of the same kind.

Certainly, of course, there is the feeling of love, but also, it could be something closer to the ties of familiship.

We cannot say it's just father and daughter. So, we cannot call Alucard and Seras master and slave. Alucard expresses both trust and patience for Seras' development as a vampire.

He describes her as a "fascinating creature" beneath her girlish exterior before explaining his reasons for turning her into a vampire.

In the second volume of the manga, he insults her and states that he regrets ever turning her, yet expresses guilt when he sees she is upset.

He follows up his rant, not by apologizing, but by saying that perhaps it was time for a vampire who "didn't roam the night alone.

Once more, after she started to cry, he regretted his actions and his tone softened. In volume 8 and the eighth episode of the OVA, Alucard greets her with a gentle smile, and pats her on the head, saying only her name: "Seras Seras Victoria.

At times Seras feels rather nervous and uneasy around him, due to his constant early berating about her being a pathetic vampire.

However, she demonstrates great loyalty for him that transcends the actions of a slave obeying and serving a master.

While she does not partake in the slaughter of the human SWAT team, she aides Alucard in his combat with Tubalcain Alhambra and later attempts to fight Alexander Anderson though her attack is comically cut short.

As the series progresses, her shy and nervous behavior towards Alucard is quickly overcome once she becomes a full fledged vampire and he addresses her with her full name.

During Alucard's fight with Anderson, Seras comes to his rescue in a desperate attempt to save him. After stopping the strike by Anderson, Seras' alarmed calls Alucard back from torpor.

The last visage in his dream was Seras' face, ending the flashback and chapter with the words: "There is a voice. There is a voice calling out.

Your voice sounds fine regardless; like fragments of shattered melody.. Go and conquer, Seras". Later, he describes her as his "servant who loves only him.

Her relationship with Integra Hellsing is strained and professional in the TV series. It's purely employee-employer with a degree of prejudice on Integra's behalf.

Despite that, Seras makes it her duty to protect Integra and even shows regret when she could not save her from Laura 's attack.

Integra and Walter were forced to train new recruits from non-British special forces personnel, instead of going to British special units such as the SAS and D, in order to maintain the manpower of Hellsing security forces due to their issues of the FREAK chips.

Soon after, Seras couldn't help but shake the feeling that something was wrong with the sudden arrival of the SAS. Integra's sister Laura had arrived, but Seras and Alucard discover that something was wrong when they find out that Laura was a Baobhan sith and was trying to assassinate Integra.

Meanwhile, the SAS squads in the castle were then converted into monsters by an unknown party. During an emergency operation to save Integra after she stabbed herself to prevent herself from being turned to a vampire, she recalls on how she had met Alucard and what had happened between the two of them before she assumed command of the Hellsing Organization.

Corresponding Manga Story: Chapter 2. When Integra hears about the Queen's secret visit to Hellsing HQ and the meeting of the Round Table , she secretly gave the order for Hellsing commandos to be deployed to the Tower of London to give her enemies a false lead to follow.

Despite the odds, some of the surviving Hellsing commandos, Alucard and Seras team up to fight back against them, revealed to have been turned into a different kind of FREAK vampires.

Alucard, in the Tower of London , faces against an undead named Incognito. Integra and Walter try to head out there, but were facing trouble from the British Army.

Despite being overwhelmed by Incognito, Alucard manages to defeat him. Ten years ago, young Integra Hellsing ascends to the head of the Hellsing Organization after the death of her father Arthur.

Her jealous uncle Richard Hellsing attempts to kill her, but in doing so awakens a dormant Alucard , who proceeds to kill Richard's men.

It is Integra who shoots and kills her uncle, thereby becoming the last descendant of the Hellsing bloodline. Alucard declares his allegiance to Integra and becomes her loyal servant.

In present day England, Alucard is called to duty to eradicate a vampire priest and his ghouls. However, a policewoman named Seras Victoria is gravely injured in the process, and upon giving her a choice to live or die, Alucard turns her into his vampire servant.

Later, on a mission to hunt down a vampire in the town of Badrick in Northern Ireland , Alucard meets and fights Father Alexander Anderson for the first time.

Alucard has a dream about his defeat at the hands of Abraham Van Helsing. While Sir Integra holds a round table conference to report her findings regarding the current wave of vampire attacks, vampire brothers Jan and Luke Valentine launch a covert sneak attack on the Hellsing compound with the help of a ghoul army outfitted with military gear and small arms.

He is shown using pages from bibles as barriers to ward off vampire movement, and also appears to be able to teleport himself amongst clouds of bible pages.

Anderson is a "Regenerator", meaning he utilizes Iscariot-developed technology that allows him to restore body parts that are lost and heal himself this ability does not work in his battle with Alucard in OVA part 8, due to Alucard injuring him with the Jackal - an oversized pistol especially designed to be used against "Regenerators".

When using the nail of Helena his body becomes a mass of thorns and his healing factor has become more advance to the point it rivals Alucard's as well as burning unholy beings enhanced his strength and speed.

The cost is however is losing his self as it caused him to become a mindless plant monster and can only be killed by removing his nail pierced heart where he returned to normal before dying.

He is also shown to be a more charismatic and more morally right as a leader compared to Maxwell.

The early history of Alexander Anderson, such as when he joined Iscariot or what his childhood life was like, is largely unknown.

Supposedly his history is revealed in the manga Angel Dust , however, given that Hirano has not made any definite links to his past works this is uncertain.

He first appears in Hellsing Volume 1 , when he is convinced by Father Renaldo to travel to Northern Ireland to deal with Alucard and Seras Victoria who are hunting a vampire.

Believing that Northern Ireland is Catholic land and Protestant England has no jurisdiction there, Anderson agrees and travels there.

He confronts Alucard, cutting off his head and chasing Seras through the building they are in. He catches up to her and is stopped by Integra just as he is about to kill her.

Anderson says he will not back down against a "Protestant whore" and swiftly kills Integra's bodyguards.

Before he can kill Integra, Alucard regenerates himself and engages Anderson. Anderson retreats when he realizes he can not defeat Alucard with his current weapons and teleports away, shouting: "We'll meet again, Hellsing!

Next time, I'll butcher you all". Anderson also appears in Crossfire. Anderson appears in Volume 2 with Enrico Maxwell , the head of Iscariot to discuss with Integra about the instigator of the attack on the Hellsing manor led by Luke and Jan Valentine.

Alucard appears after Maxwell insults Integra. Maxwell responds by calling Anderson into play. Before they can start another duel, Alucard and Anderson are interrupted by Seras leading a group of elderly Japanese tourists possibly because of some agreement with Walter that Alucard would not destroy the museum, since the two smiled at each other after everyone had gone.

The two decide to postpone their fight. Anderson leaves, commenting on the quality of the museum asking Maxwell if next time he could bring some of the orphans to visit.

In an almost humorously agitated manner, he then swears he will rip Alucard to pieces the next time they meet. In Volume 3, Anderson is seen briefly watching the fight between Tubalcain Alhambra and Alucard on television.

He fails to accomplish this task without first getting into a brief fistfight with Alucard. Afterward, he engages in battle with some paramilitaries sympathetic to the Millennium cause.

In Volume 6, after The Major declares war against England, Anderson brings the rest of Iscariot with him there and saves Integra from a group of Nazi vampires.

When Heinkel Wolfe attempts to apprehend her, Integra disagrees and asks Anderson if this is permissible; Anderson says it is not.

He instructs Iscariot to escort Integra back to the Hellsing manor. Later, in Volume 7, Maxwell arrives in England with the remnants of the armies used in the Holy Crusades and takes the opportunity to kill all English "heretics".

Seeing this, Anderson believes Enrico has quit serving God and now only serves his own power. When Heinkel informs Anderson of Iscariot's new orders to take Integra prisoner, Anderson expresses his displeasure.

Before he can act against the rest of Iscariot, Seras arrives with her new powers awakened and does it for him. Anderson acknowledges her newfound power, telling Heinkel that Seras was not something the ordinary members of Iscariot could hope to fight any longer.

In Volume 8, Anderson engages in what he considers the final confrontation with Alucard. He is wounded severely by Alucard's Jackal, a weapon unfamiliar to Anderson.

Alucard begs Anderson not to become a monster like himself. Anderson ignores this warning, impaling himself with the nail and transforming.

He is transformed into a kind of thorn like monster version of himself, still appearing as human. But any time that he is injured, his body is revealed to be a living mesh of thorns and vines held together and self-regenerating.

They battle, with Anderson-monster nearly destroying Alucard, before Seras intervenes. Although it could be that Alucard actually allows Anderson-monster to attack due to being in deep shock himself—as he had hoped Anderson to be a worthy human opponent for "releasing" the vampire from his eternal "dream".

This version is supported given Alucard's response to Seras' cry: "Quit screaming, police-girl. I perfectly hear your voice.

Alucard then charges Anderson and, plunging his hand into Anderson's chest, removes the nail along with Anderson's heart.

This destroys most of Anderson's body in the process. As Anderson dies, he and Alucard exchange words. What remains of Anderson decays and turns to ash.

In Volume 10, he appears alongside Maxwell in an omake. Enrico controls his organization with an iron fist.

However, his seemingly blind devotion to his mission often makes his underling Alexander Anderson question his motivations.

As a small child, Enrico lived at Ferdinand Luke's, an orphanage outside Rome where Anderson lived and worked. His parents had abandoned him, likely because he was the "son of a mistress".

Though Anderson tried to raise him as well as he could, Enrico remained angry and spiteful. He grew determined to become someone that people could not look down on.

Maxwell also appears in Crossfire extras. During the standoff between Alucard and the Millennium led police force in Rio de Janeiro , Anderson watches the scene unfold on the news with a sense of indignation and fury.

Enrico seems to revel in the ensuing violence. He has a bitter rivalry with Integra Hellsing, Bureau Director of the Hellsing Organization, due to their similar occupations and differing ideologies.

Enrico seems to suffer from a facial tic characterized by repeated wincing of his left eye, much to the amusement of fans.

He also appears to drool while he sleeps. His prototype was in Angel Dust alongside Anderson. After being promoted to the rank of bishop , Enrico is very quickly promoted again to archbishop by the Pope in light of Millennium 's attack on London with a force of 3, Templars.

However, Enrico becomes drunk with power as he orders his crusaders to slaughter London's Protestant survivors alongside Millennium and Hellsing.

Eventually, Enrico witnesses his army being destroyed by Alucard's familiars before his helicopter was shot down by Rip Van Winkle.

Though the armored glass protects him from the fall, Maxwell's protection from the amassing familiars is shattered by Anderson after deeming the man's selfish ambitions as a threat to the Vatican.

Maxwell's determination proves to be his hamartia as he ends up dying of impalement in the same way that he had lived, alone.

Alexander then finds the body of the boy he raised and stops Alucard from absorbing his soul.

He leaves his body in a place away from the danger as a final act of kindness to his former charge. In the manga, Maxwell has blonde hair and blue eyes, while both animated versions give him silver hair.

She is partnered with her childhood friend Yumie under Alexander Anderson. Heinkel's weapons of choice are pistols.

While she first appeared as a bodyguard for Enrico Maxwell, Heinkel later leads a brigade of Catholic priests sent to apprehend Integra during Millennium's attack on London.

As a result, Heinkel witnesses the death of Father Anderson before she attempts to avenge Yumi and is killed by Walter C.

However, while Walter initially allows her to fire to her heart's content, Heinkel finds herself crippled by the artificial vampire after he slices her arm and leg off.

Heinkel appears in the Crossfire extras in the first three volumes with Yumie before their debut to the main story.

However, Crossfire is eventually declared not canon to the Hellsing series. The character is a fanatical Catholic and seems genuinely to enjoy killing people using her almost superhuman sword skills alongside her childhood friend Heinkel.

Yumie knows various Batto-jutsu sword drawing techniques and is adept enough to kill even from outside the room where her victim is.

She is also quite capable of smashing men's heads into walls with her bare hands. During Millennium's attack on London, after witnessing Walter C.

Dornez desecrating Father Anderson's remains, Yumie attempts to cut him down. However, she is outmatched and cut into pieces by Walter's wires.

In contrast to Yumie, the Yumiko persona is shy and timid. Yumiko comments on how hard it is for her to "get Yumie to sleep" after she has been provoked into action.

The two personalities switch by dueling for control inside their mind. Yumiko takes off her glasses to trigger the change, which can also occur after a strong blow to the head.

Her prototype is in Hi and Low alongside Integra's. Renaldo is an old Iscariot member who debuts in Volume 1 informing Anderson of a vampire attack.

He appears later with Maxwell in Volumes 2 and 4. He appears in a flashback in volume 8 talking to Maxwell where he will be raised by Anderson.

He also appears in the omake in Volume 7. Renaldo's prototype was in Magic School. Makube is the leader of Iscariot for 30 years in the final volume.

Not much is known about him other than that he appears to be aware of the supernatural. He also appears to be more level-headed than Maxwell.

He has more patience than his predecessor and seems to have more of a friendly rivalry with Integra. His prototype is from Hirano's earliest works—a character named Azaraku from Susume Seigaku.

They serve as the primary antagonists in the series. Within the series, the mysterious group pools its resources after the war and, with substantial help from the Vatican, is able to relocate to Brazil and go into hiding.

The organization is led initially by a cabal of ex-SS officers known as the Old Men of the Opera House, before they were executed by the Major and his followers.

Millennium's researchers discover a way to transform humans into vampires through unknown means although it is suggested that some kind of surgery is involved , and monitors them using implanted computer chips.

Most of its members are monsters of some sort, or have found a way to prolong their lives. He is a short, calculating and utterly ruthless Nazi officer whose unremarkable appearance and polite demeanor mask a psychopathic mind that delights in all forms of cruelty and carnage.

He commands with a good-natured attitude, which can change in a moment to cruelty or grandiose elation. Through the intelligence Enrico Maxwell obtains from a corrupt priest he interrogated, the Major is believed to have been born between and According to his prototype character in another of Kohta Hirano's earlier works called Coyote , where he was named Montana Max, it is implied the Major grew up in a troubled home with an alcoholic father and a prostitute mother who received clients in their home.

After his father's death, the Major's mother continues providing sexual services for various men before he murders her and a client with his father's pistol.

Afterwards, he wanders the streets until he is recruited by Adolf Hitler to join the Nazi party. As first lieutenant of the Schutzstaffel SS and leader of a Werwolf special force, the Major is issued special order directly from Hitler to create an army of vampires.

This instigates the founding of Millennium whose members use Mina's blood to perfect artificial vampirization.

He first encounters vampirism after being beaten within an inch of his life by Soviet soldiers. He witnesses blood moving towards him in hopes of being drunk, and repels its corruption with nothing but sheer will and determination.

After suffering mortal injuries as a consequence of young Walter Dornez and Alucard coming to Warsaw in , the Major suffers from an apathy the immortality vampires possess.

The cost is the loss of individuality that is something he cannot accept. He comes to see Alucard as his mortal enemy.

The Major then steps down as leader of Millennium, handing the reins to the Old Men while he and the Doctor continue their experiments.

However, by the beginning of the series' events, the Major has altered Millennium's goal to be a means to start a war without end. After he and his vampire followers execute the Old Men of the Opera House for attempting to usurp their authority, the Major openly declares war on Hellsing and England as he brings the Hindenburg II to London.

Eventually, having waited for her to become a worthy enough adversary, the Major invites Integra Hellsing to face him.

After Alucard is apparently defeated by his plan, an attack by Seras reveals the Major's cybernetic modifications.

He explains he is still human because of his own will. He then reveals his hatred for Alucard comes from the fact that while the Major is a man who looks like a monster, Alucard is a monster who looks like a man.

He believes Alucard to be an inferior being for having given up his humanity. Despite Integra shooting him in the head, the Major dies with a smile on his face because he took out her eye.

He also achieved his goals of a grand war and Alucard's apparent demise at the cost of three million lives.

An unstable and eccentric genius, the Doctor digs up the body of Mina Harker , code named "The Shi", from her grave to create a Nazi vampire army out of 1, volunteers in the Letztes Battalion.

He is also the creator of Schrödinger whom he frequently scolds. After the Major dies, the Doctor attempts to flee the exploding Hinderburg II to rebuild his research before being confronted by a dying Walter.

Vexed by Walter accusing him of being a fraud, the Doctor attempts to detonate the explosive charge in the youth before losing his limbs and hitting the ground while dragging the curtain covering Mina's skeleton.

Seeing Mina's skeleton, noting the woman's history and her possessing faint traces of Alucard's being in her bones, Walter notes the Doctor can create imitations before crushing the scientist to death under debris.

His prototype was in Doc's story. The Captain is The Major's silent, stoic adjutant and bodyguard. Unlike The Major and Lieutenant Rip van Winkle , he still wears a full uniform in the main story, which is similar to an M42 Greatcoat with its neckguard constantly turned up, and an M43 officer's cap emblazoned with the Totenkopf symbol.

The Captain is a natural werewolf , able to transform at will and fight in either human, werewolf or wolf form.

He is the second highest-ranking member of Millennium, but it is implied that he does not believe Millennium's ideology and merely wants to find someone capable of killing him.

The Captain possesses immense superhuman ability, even while in human form. His iron-like flesh can withstand Walter's wires which can easily slice solid steel , even as they are tightened around his bare neck.

He seems to be able to fall great distances without sustaining any damage, as seen in Chapter 58, "Wizardry 2 ". The Captain has some regenerative ability, as he quickly regenerates his mutilated hand in The Dawn.

Being a real life "wolf-man", he also has the ability to transform into white, fur-like mist similar to Alucard and is shown on several scenes growing fur.

In addition to his natural abilities, The Captain possesses two modified Mauser C96s with long barrels, and a combat knife though he never uses it.

Alucard, on the other hand, backs out after getting kicked in half by The Captain, and leaves Walter to fend for himself while chasing The Major.

It is believed, based on information in the main storyline, that Walter comes to an agreement with Millennium and leaves the compound, having seemingly aided in the destruction of the early undead soldier project.

However, there is no official word that explicitly confirms or denies this yet. Later that year, The Captain participates in the infamous Malmedy massacre on December 17, [10] during the Battle of the Bulge.

Based on a photograph in Chapter From a photograph taken on the 20th, he and The Major are still in the Ardennes area.

On the backcover of Volume 3. He ultimately travels with the rest of Millennium to South America and remains in hiding for decades.

Over 55 years later, The Captain is sent to retrieve Walter for a certain process, during the invasion of England in Walter then urges his master to flee and attacks The Captain with his wires.

The Captain catches them in his hands, and it looks like this would lead into a great duel. The duel is never shown, however, leading fans to speculate about The Captain and Walter's relationship and Walter's loyalties.

He is surprised by Alucard's "counter-attack" and backs off for the time being. Although he is seen in Chapter 68, "Might and Magic 2 ", with long strands of hair forming on his face, Chapter 74, "Relics", shows The Captain swiftly shooting Heinkel Wolfe in his human form.

It is revealed in Chapter 76 "Finest Hour" that he deliberately shoots through her cheek to spare Heinkel's life. The Captain attempts to communicate directly with Heinkel by making gestures with his head.

This is interpreted as a warning not to interfere with Walter and Alucard's duel. After tossing Heinkel a first aid kit, he leaps up into the air and departs.

Seras Victoria (セラス・ヴィクトリア Serasu Vikutoria) is one of the main protagonists of Hellsing. Seras was turned into a vampire by Alucard to save her from a. Episoden aus "Hellsing Ultimate" betreffend dem Söldner Pip Bernadotte und der Vampirin Seras Victoria: Das Aufeinandertreffen dieser Individuen sorgt immer.

His behavior in the first volume was depicted as an intense Catholic priest, who went as far as calling Integra "Babylon", as a reference to Whore of Babylon and, like Maxwell, displayed an immense hatred for Protestants.

In the first episode of Hellsing Ultimate , some of Anderson's statements heavily imply a fanatical hatred for all non-Catholics.

Anderson tells a pair of young boys they should only engage in violence against "monsters and non-believers".

He comments to his superiors it is fortunate that a large vampire population must be killing many English Protestants. Anderson resents England's control over Northern Ireland, which he believes is Catholic territory, and states it is his mission to kill unbelievers.

He ignores his true mission and instead focuses on the basic requirements of his crusade; thus, attacking Seras Victoria , Alucard and killing Captain Gareth of the Hellsing Organization, though Gareth was a human being and attempting to exterminate the same target as Alexander Anderson.

While his orders from Iscariot specified the extermination of a single rogue vampire, he engages in combat with Alucard as well.

In the manga and by extension the OVA, which is closer to the manga than the TV series , however, his character is much more complex.

He shows a greater sense of morality both in his treatment of the orphans under his care. His eventual assistance to Integra and betrayal of Enrico Maxwell who becomes drunk with power and starts killing innocent humans , is quite unlike the TV series Anderson who is portrayed as little more than a mindless, psychotic killer.

His complexity in the manga is later demonstrated by his respect for Integra's conviction and for Seras' bravery.

Specifically, he agrees to escort Integra to Hellsing HQ, because it would be impolite to leave a lady to walk there alone.

Anderson tells the members of Iscariot to retreat from battle when Alucard releases his familiars. He wants them to live on and protect the Catholic religion, as he believes there are already enough souls in limbo.

He also appears to have a form of respect for Alucard, shouting, "The black peril comes! In his final moments, Anderson consoled his grieving rival in his own way, telling him that monsters do not cry.

In the TV series, Alucard refers to Anderson as a "dog of the Church" and is neither human nor monster. He is therefore incapable of killing him; only a human can do that.

In the manga and OVA, however, Alucard shows great respect for Anderson and goes so far as to compare him to the men who were able to defeat Dracula Integra's grandfather, Abraham Van Helsing and the other men from Bram Stoker's Dracula.

He says although they were mere humans they possessed the will to destroy a monster such as Alucard. This changes, however, when Anderson chooses to use the Nail of Helena on himself to become a monster on an equal level to Alucard.

At this point Alucard rules that Anderson, having sacrificed all of his humanity in exchange for power, is no longer worthy of destroying him and that Anderson must be killed.

Alucard had previously stated he would be proud to die in battle against Anderson, but clearly Anderson forfeited that right by turning himself into a monster rather than a regenerating human.

In battle, Alexander Anderson is often depicted using scores of blessed bayonets presumably made of silver as well as smaller blades which are held between his fingers like claws.

He is shown to have extraordinary physical abilities, including strength, speed, and stamina.

Seras expresses great loyalty towards Integra and the two form a friendship that transcends the master and slave relationship that Integra has with Alucard.

Seras joins Walter, Arthur Hellsing, and Sir Penwood as characters Integra can trust and openly show affection towards. In volume 2, Seras loses control of her vampire instincts during the attack on Hellsing manor.

In her rage, she kills the newly reanimated Hellsing soldiers in front of Integra. Integra, horrified at the sight of Seras mercilessly slaughtering her men, rushes to Seras and embraces her, pleading for her to stop rather than demanding it of her.

When Seras regains herself, she too is horrified by her actions. When Integra is ordered to kill the remaining ghouls, Seras expresses great sadness for her.

In volume 4 and episode four of the OVA, Integra tells Seras that it is time for her to accept that she is a vampire.

She cuts her finger and in a most risque fashion, orders Seras to lick it. Seras hesitantly obeys and feels better. In volume 7, Seras saves her from the Iscariot priests, creating a protective barrier all around her with her shadowy left arm.

Seras does not even have to say that Captain Bernadotte has died before Integra realizes it.

Integra remarks in a melancholy yet proud tone that Seras is a true vampire now. After defeating the Captain, Seras returns to Integra.

On her order, Seras opens fire on the Major and injures him, allowing Integra to move in for the kill.

Once he is defeated, Seras carries Integra and flies out of the exploding zeppelin. Seras stays with Integra during the thirty years transitional period in the manga, where the two have grown even closer as companions.

Seras teases Integra in a similar fashion that Alucard used to tease her, and Integra confesses some insecurities about her aging appearance.

Still, once Seras senses that Integra is in danger, she was at her side in a moment's time. Her heroism is cut short when she realizes Alucard has returned.

Seras and Heinkel formed a rivalry against each other much like their mentors Alucard and Anderson did. Seras became a full-fledged vampire and Heinkel a regenerator.

Heinkel's silhouette can be seen standing in the background 30 years after The Major's attack on London.

Seras has not interacted very much with Schrödinger at all, though she did seem rather embarrassed by Schrödinger greeting her during the meeting with the Queen.

Mostly because he kept awkwardly staring at her. Seras and Pip first meet after Walter hires professional mercenaries to fill in for the soldiers that had been killed during the Valentine Brothers' attack.

Integra introduces Seras as a "genuine vampire," much to Pip's disbelief. Seras challenges him to a duel in which she is only allowed to flick her fingers.

With her inhuman speed, she constantly pokes the captain into submission. At first, he considers her a freak, but his doubts are laid to rest when Alucard phases through the wall to meet him.

Seras is assigned to train his men how to properly shoot the meter mark. Seras takes great annoyance when Pip calls her a "freak" and with great ease, takes down the target with a rifle.

Her victory is short-lived when Pip points out that she had killed the "innocents" as well as the targets with her shot.

Shortly afterwards Seras bursts into Alucard and Walter's conversation, complaining that Pip and the other mercenaries were "sexually harassing" her by singing a dirty song.

During the mission to Rio de Janeiro, Pip and Seras rarely interact, though he hijacks a helicopter to help her and Alucard escape after the battle with Tubalcain Alhambra.

While there is no dialogue, Pip seems to be flattering her and Seras seems to enjoy his company, and in the credits of OVA 7, Seras is seen giving Pip a playful wink.

Throughout Vol. While Pip is impressed with her, he teasingly refers to her as "Girl," rather than call her by her name which Seras finds annoying.

Moments before the battle in headquarters, Pip shares an intimate story with Seras about his time in London and all of the people he has met there.

He tells her that he cannot forgive how they have "turn[ed] into corpses This inspires Seras to take down the airship.

During the fight in headquarters, Seras with Alucard's help breaks Pip from the illusion cast by Zorin. However, the distraction allowed the Nazis to infiltrate the building.

Seras takes the offense while Pip and the Wild Geese take the defense. Before going to their posts, Pip attempts but fails to steal a kiss from Seras who screams at him.

Pip tells her "don't die," before she runs into battle, then later remarks on how she's a "good girl" and how "If you let a girl like her die, you're a disgrace as a man.

She vows to beat all of them. Meanwhile, Pip and the others are being beaten back by the Nazis, though Pip is confident that Seras will come to their aid since she is "[that] kind of girl.

Before her fight with Zorin, he comments on how he wishes he could have kissed her. Using her illusions, Zorin distracts Seras with the horrible memory of her father's death and the rape and murder of her mother.

Zorin then slices off Seras' arm, stabs her in the back, and then blinds her with her scythe. Before Zorin can kill her, Pip hits her in the face with a rifle and shoots her.

He throws Seras over his shoulders and attempts to escape. All the while, Seras begs him to leave her behind and save himself.

He refuses but is fatally wounded when Zorin throws her scythe at his back. Blinded and weakened, Seras tries to find him when they fall to the ground, calling his name and feeling around for him.

Pip waits until she's close enough before he moves in and kisses her. Seras is stunned by this but gives into his kiss.

Pip laughs, happy that he finally stole a kiss from her, then tells her to feed on him. His final thoughts before dying were, "She's such a good girl.

If I die protecting her, c'est la vie. It is only when Zorin insults Pip by referring to him as an insect that Seras is moved to rage and finally drinks Pip's blood.

This restores her and allows her to kill the remaining vampires, including Zorin herself. After drinking Pip's blood, a part of Pip now resides in Seras and he acts as her familiar.

As such, it is implied that the other characters can sense Pip's presence within her. The two remaining mercenaries of the Wild Geese salute Seras and address her as "Sir" before she leaves, and Integra realizes that Seras drank his blood without any knowledge as to what had happened at the mansion.

When Alucard returns to London, he notices the change in Seras as well. Pip doesn't make another appearance until Vol. After taking a terrible beating, Seras hears Pip's voice telling her to stand up because "the girl [he] know[s] doesn't give up so easily.
